When a tooth is too badly decayed to save, our dental team will perform an oral surgery extraction. An extraction may also be recommended if the tooth is severely fractured or is crowding other healthy teeth.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Not all wisdom teeth need to be extracted, but some do. If your wisdom teeth are impacted, or in instances of gum disease, you may be a candidate for wisdom tooth surgery. In many situations, it’s best to pull the wisdom teeth before they jeopardize your smile as a whole.
We will take a panoramic digital radiograph and/or a CT scan of your entire jaw, so we can see the size, location, and developmental trajectory of the wisdom teeth in consideration.
Gum Tissue Grafting
Exposed tooth roots are the result of gum recession. Gum graft surgery is designed to repair this recession and help prevent additional recession and bone loss. This graft can cover exposed tooth roots and protect them from decay, reducing tooth sensitivity and improving the esthetics of your smile.
If you’re not sure what type of oral surgery you need, just call Integral Dental to schedule an appointment. The team at our Winnipeg dentist office will take the time to do a thorough exam and discuss your oral health concerns with you before beginning any dental treatment you need.
Our Winnipeg dental team may recommend braces if you suffer from crooked teeth, crowded teeth, jaw problems or a misaligned bite.
